The Institute is continuously developing schemes to facilitate entry by students from groups currently under-represented at third level. One such scheme is the Pathfinders Programme. This programme is an access initiative for secondary schools in Kerry in collaboration with other agencies and organisations.
The Institute has a direct application procedure and reserves a number of places for students who complete the Pathfinders Programme. In order to be eligible for a place under Pathfinders Programme the applicant must meet the minimum entry requirements for the programme he/she has applied for. The candidate must also have applied for the programme of study via the CAO.
